La mayor entrada en el fin de semana para una película de animación
La pasada Semana Santa llegó a las cartelera de medio mundo la nueva Super Mario Bros.: La película que arrasó en taquilla con una recaudación de 346M a nivel mundial en su primer fin de semana.
Un nuevo acierto para Universal Pictures/Illumination Entertainment que a cuentagotas han conseguido ser la competencia real de Disney/Pixar Animation Studios en los última década. Melendandri ha confirmado una quinta entrega del malhumorado ogro verde y otro spin-off de Asno, lo cual dice mucho de la explotación de las gallina de los huevos de oro.
No es tan diferente al proceso por el cual pasamos con 'Mario', donde te fijas cuáles son los elementos centrales que les han llegado al público, y haces todo lo posible para honrar esos elementos centrales. Y luego estás trabajando arduamente para construir elementos de la historia y nuevos personajes que te lleven a lugares completamente nuevos. El cast original forma gran parte de eso. [...] Anticipamos el regreso del elenco. Ahora las negociaciones están sobre la mesa, y cada indicación que hemos recibido es que hay un tremendo entusiasmo por parte de los actores para regresar.
